Every pesley in the saree is alternating with pista outlined with rani and vice versa. This consequent pattern brings out a unworldly sheen in the saree, telling you how rare and royal it is.
Moment of truth, there is not a single thread of purple used in the saree but it does look like it. The base is deep blue, with depths of pink almost merging into the base so well you only see purple. That’s not magic, that’s just what you get when the weaver is too much in love with his art.
The contours, again a sleek silver gold zari engraved(literally engraved) with pesleys and flowers, as if the weaver was experimenting with jamavar on borders and it turned out unexpectedly divine.
