Kalindi (कालिन्दी) — “She who belongs to Mount Kalinda.”
A traditional name for the Yamuna River, derived from Kalinda, the mountain associated with its source.
Kalindi is a gem of a saree, combining two bold and vibrant shades of the peacock- Emerald Green & Royal Blue and weaving them in warp and weft respectively, giving off a shade loved by all Indian girlies- TEAL!!

So yes, Kalindi is a zero zari single ply mulberry silk kanjeevaram, striking blue, green, gold and mostly teal with little lucky turtle butas across the body and lastly a long colourful playing, playing with every contrasting shade of red, yellow and hues of gold. The pesleys are longer than ever, the vines are more intertwined and the partition doesn’t exist.
