Weavers these days and putting their hearts and souls into georgette. They know how much we love a body hugging drape but also the richness of heirloom weaves.
This saree, is born through the love the georgette and himroo. On a deep charcoal black base, a rosy himroo weave strikes as if it’s not there, it shows up only as you move. Bringing each rose to life- quite literally. These roses are actually woven with resham to add that brocade lustrous minus the weight.
On the borders, a valkalam weave flows through in kadhwa, hard to differentiate from the body but it is! A saree you’d wear for Diwali, a close family member’s wedding, a dinner date and wherever possible because it’s simply flowy, weightless and a rare diamond!
Blouse is similar to the body type.
