A saree that blooms like lotus with nothing but pesleys. You’ll need an eye of a saree devotee to dive deep into the weaving technique.
Every pesley in the saree is alternating with pista outlined with rani and vice versa. This consequent pattern brings out a unworldly sheen in the saree, telling you how rare and royal it is.
Moment of truth, there is not a single thread of purple used in the saree but it does look like it. The base is deep blue, with depths of pink almost merging into the base so well you only see purple. That’s not magic, that’s just what you get when the weaver is too much in love with his art.
The contours, again a sleek silver gold zari engraved(literally engraved) with pesleys and flowers, as if the weaver was experimenting with jamavar on borders and it turned out unexpectedly divine.
The saree sits as comfortably as a mul cotton weave, no need of pins or holding it everytime you walk. It enhances your grace with a quiet sheen, without weighing you down because when a saree is woven for a royalty, it has to be comfort first without compromising on the glam.
There are very few pieces that catch the eye of the adorer, this is that one. The kinda saree that will make heads turn and wonder where you got a piece so rich in handloom, so rooted in multiple states yet so personal!
